Disney World convention tickets offer specific savings by matching your travel dates to special group and convention sale pages. These offers can reduce the price compared to standard public pricing for the same tickets. Secret Mouse Tickets helps you find these hidden discounts. This guide covers how to maximize your savings on convention tickets, partial day passes, and bonus experiences in Florida.
Convention Ticket Discounts
Convention ticket discounts are special pricing tiers offered by Disney for group and convention inventory. These offers live on sale pages that are separate from the standard ticket flow most guests see. Eligible offers can reduce the price compared with Disney's non-discounted ticket pricing for the same tickets. The savings depend on the specific offer and your travel dates.
How the Matching Works
Secret Mouse Tickets performs the date-matching work for you. When you enter your Walt Disney World visit details, we compare them against currently active sale-page windows. If a matching offer exists and your trip meets our minimum trip-size criteria, we show you the option to get the matched link. Park tickets cost extra and are purchased directly from Disney.
Eligibility and Requirements
Each offer has its own purchase requirements. Disney controls eligibility, and some offers may be restricted to a particular group or event. Read the sale page’s terms before buying. A match to your travel dates doesn't establish eligibility on its own. You must review the final Disney offer before completing any ticket purchase.
Partial Day Tickets
Partial day tickets are admission passes that allow entry to a theme park for a limited number of hours. These tickets are often included in multi-day packages or sold as standalone options. They provide flexibility for guests who want to visit a park in the evening or morning without paying for a full day. The price of a partial day ticket varies by park and date.
When to Use Partial Day Tickets
Partial day tickets are ideal for guests who have a full day planned at another park. They are also useful for guests who want to visit a park after a long travel day. You can combine partial day tickets with full day tickets to create a custom itinerary. Check the specific terms of your convention offer to see if partial day tickets are included.
Reservations for Partial Day Tickets
Disney lists Sport and Convention tickets among the types that require theme park reservations. Check reservation availability and the rules for the ticket you choose before buying. Our matching service doesn't reserve admission. You must make your own park reservations after purchasing your tickets.
Advance Purchase Savings
Advance purchase savings are discounts available when you buy tickets before your travel dates. Disney uses dynamic ticket pricing, so prices can change based on demand and availability. Buying early can lock in a lower price, but it also means you are committed to specific dates. If your plans change, you may not be able to get a full refund.
Should You Buy Early?
It depends on your flexibility. If your travel dates are firm, buying early can save you money. If your dates are flexible, you might wait for a better offer. Check the current prices and compare them to the convention offer prices. Use the Ticket Savings Guides to help you decide when to buy.
Price Fluctuations
Bonus Disney Experiences
Bonus Disney experiences are additional perks included with certain ticket packages. These can include water park visits, dining plans, or special event access. The exact benefits vary by page and timing. Disney decides the offer structure, so you should read the details carefully.
Water Park Fun & More Visit Pass
Depending on the specific Disney offer, multi-day tickets available through the sale page may include an extra Water Park Fun & More Visit pass. This pass allows you to visit Disney's water parks. The value of this pass can be significant, especially if you were planning to buy it separately. Check if your convention offer includes this benefit.
Other Potential Perks
Some offers may include other perks, such as a dining plan or a special event ticket. These perks can add significant value to your trip. However, they also come with specific terms and conditions. Make sure you understand how to use each perk before you buy.
Ticket Validity Window
Ticket validity window is the period during which your tickets can be used. Disney tickets are typically valid for a set number of days from the first day of use. Once you start using your tickets, the clock begins. You must use all your ticket days within the validity window. If you do not, the remaining days may expire.
How to Track Your Validity
Keep track of your first day of use and the expiration date. You can check your ticket status in the My Disney Experience app. This app also allows you to make park reservations. Make sure you understand the validity window before you buy. If your trip is longer than the validity window, you may need to buy additional tickets.
Flexibility and Changes
Disney tickets are generally non-refundable and non-transferable. If your plans change, you may not be able to get a refund. However, some offers may allow you to change your dates. Check the specific terms of your offer. If you are unsure, it is better to buy tickets with a longer validity window.
