Disney World group rates are available through official convention and corporate sale pages, not the standard public ticket store. Secret Mouse Tickets helps you locate these hidden offers by matching your travel dates to active group inventory. This guide covers how to find convention packages, understand Florida resident discounts, and navigate room block requirements for your trip.
Convention and Corporate Event Packages
Convention tickets are a specific category of Walt Disney World admission sold through dedicated sale pages. These pages are separate from the standard ticket flow most guests see. Secret Mouse Tickets specializes in identifying these specific inventory windows. When you enter your visit details, our system compares them against currently active sale-page windows. If a match exists and your trip meets our minimum trip-size criteria, we provide the direct link to the Disney sale page.
How Group Inventory Works
Disney controls the pricing, terms, availability, and included perks on each sale page. These offers can reduce the price compared with Disney's non-discounted ticket pricing for the same tickets. Eligibility is strictly controlled by Disney. Some offers may be restricted to a particular group or event. A match to your travel dates does not automatically establish eligibility for every condition of the offer. You must review the sale page’s terms before buying.
The Matching Process
Our service acts as a bridge between your travel plans and Disney's hidden inventory. We do not sell Disney theme park tickets directly. Instead, we sell access to our matching and delivery service. After you complete checkout for the service fee, we email you the eligible Disney sale-page link. You then complete the actual ticket purchase directly with Disney. This ensures you are buying from the official source while benefiting from the group rate structure.
Florida Resident Discounts
Florida resident discounts are a separate discount channel from group and convention rates. These offers are typically tied to specific promotional windows and require proof of residency. While they offer savings, they are distinct from the group inventory that Secret Mouse Tickets helps you find. It is important to understand that these two discount types do not always stack. You should compare the total cost of a Florida resident ticket against a group ticket for your specific dates to determine which offers better value.
Residency Verification
Comparing Resident vs. Group Rates
The best discount depends on your travel dates and party size. Group rates often provide deeper savings for multi-day trips, especially when the group inventory is active. Florida resident discounts may be more accessible for smaller parties or dates where group inventory is unavailable. By using a date-matching service, you can quickly see if a group offer exists for your dates. This allows you to make an informed decision between the two discount types without guessing.
Room Block Requirements
Room block requirements are often a point of confusion for guests seeking group rates. A room block is a reservation of hotel rooms held by a group or convention. For ticket purposes, Disney lists Sport and Convention tickets among the types that require theme park reservations. You must check reservation availability and the rules for the ticket you choose before buying. Our matching service does not reserve admission or hotel rooms. It only provides the link to the ticket sale page.
Understanding Park Reservations
Theme park reservations are mandatory for certain ticket types, including Sport and Convention tickets. This means that even if you have a valid group ticket, you may need to secure a park reservation for each day you plan to visit. Availability for these reservations can be limited. It is essential to check Disney's reservation guidance for your specific parks and dates. Do not assume that purchasing the ticket guarantees entry without a reservation.
Hotel and Ticket Linkage
Some group offers may include hotel packages, while others are ticket-only. The structure of the offer is determined by Disney for each specific sale page. If you are looking for a hotel package, you must verify if the specific sale page includes lodging. Secret Mouse Tickets focuses on the ticket matching aspect. We ensure you have the correct link to the sale page where you can review the full package details, including any hotel components, directly from Disney.
Comparison of Discount Channels
The following table summarizes the key differences between the primary discount channels available for Walt Disney World tickets. This helps you understand where to look based on your specific situation.
| Discount Channel | Primary Source | Eligibility Requirement | Reservation Requirement | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Group & Convention Tickets | Hidden Disney Sale Pages | Specific Group/Event or Date Match | Yes, for Sport/Convention types | Multi-day trips, larger groups |
| Florida Resident Discounts | Official Disney Resident Page | Proof of Florida Residency | Varies by ticket type | Local visitors, specific promo windows |
| Standard Public Tickets | Main Disney Ticket Store | None | Varies by ticket type | General travelers, no discount needed |
Use this table to guide your initial search. If you are a Florida resident, check the resident page first. If you are traveling with a group or on dates that might align with convention inventory, use a matching service to check for hidden offers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be part of a convention to buy group tickets?
Each offer has its own purchase requirements. Disney controls eligibility, and some offers may be restricted to a particular group or event. A match to your travel dates does not establish eligibility on its own. You must read the sale page’s terms before buying to confirm you meet the specific conditions.
Will I need park reservations for group tickets?
Yes, Disney lists Sport and Convention tickets among the types that require theme park reservations. You should check reservation availability and the rules for the specific ticket you choose before buying. Our matching service does not reserve admission for you.
How does Secret Mouse Tickets make money?
We charge a one-time service fee for the matching and delivery of the Disney sale-page link. We do not sell Disney theme park tickets directly. You purchase your actual tickets separately from Disney. If you don't come out ahead after our fee, we review the purchase under our refund policy.
Can Florida residents use group rates?
Yes, Florida residents can use group rates if their dates match an active offer. However, you should compare the group rate against the Florida resident discount to see which provides better value for your specific trip. The two discounts are separate channels and may not be combinable.
What is the minimum trip size for a match?
We use your park days and guest count to check whether your trip meets our minimum matching criteria. This typically requires at least three ticket-days total, such as one guest for three park days, three guests for one park day, or two guests for two park days. This is a trip-size check, not a calculation of your final savings.
Are the tickets purchased from Disney or from Secret Mouse Tickets?
You purchase the tickets directly from Disney. After you pay our service fee, we email you the matching Disney sale-page link. You then complete the actual ticket purchase on that Disney page. This ensures you are buying from the official source.
What perks can be included in group tickets?
Depending on the specific Disney offer, multi-day tickets available through the sale page may include an extra Water Park Fun & More Visit pass. Disney decides the exact offer structure, so that benefit can vary by page and timing. Always check the specific sale page for included perks.
Is Secret Mouse Tickets affiliated with Disney?
No, Secret Mouse Tickets is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Disney. We provide a matching service to help you find eligible offers. All ticket purchases are completed directly with Disney.
